Town of Cary parking regulations:
1) vehicles may not remain backed up to the curb except when loading and unloading;
2) vehicles within 25 feet from the intersection of curblines or, if none, within 15 feet of the intersection of property lines at an intersection of highways or streets. (Basically, this is within 25 feet of an intersection).
3) Within 15 feet of a mailbox adjacent to a street between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. except Sundays and federal holidays.
4) when "no parking signs" have been installed.

With regard to item 4, in order to have signs installed, an evaluation would have to be done by the Police Department to determine if conditions warrant such signs.
